Buenos Aires is the autonomous capital city of Argentina. It began growing fast between 1945 and 1988. The current population is of 9,910,787 inhabitants.

During the 15th Century, most of the south american territory became one of the spanish colonies. By this time, the current city of Buenos Aires was founded by Juan de Garay, a conqueror from Orduña, Spain. Former Garay´s settlement is now the center of public life.
The urban design of the city is regular. We have many different neighbourhoods, the most attractive for tourism are Monserrat , la Boca and San Telmo.
Montserrat is the oldest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires. It features very important public buildings in the city, including the City Hall, the City Legislature and the "Casa Rosada" the official seat of the executive government of Argentina.

San Telmo is to the south of “Plaza de Mayo”, a historical square in the city. Pedro Telmo a very attractive and famous statue of the city and the most important for the tourism.

La Boca is a popular destination for tourists in Argentina. There are colourful houses and pedestrian streets. Caminito, is a narrow street where tango is performed ; tango-related souvenirs are also sold there. It is located near the city old port.

During the nineteenth century, it was the home of many european immigrants mainly from Italy, Spain, Germany, France and Poland.
